Longer Tables ("we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our community, partners, employees, and suppliers. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when interacting with us. It also outlines your rights under local and national law regarding your personal data. 

1. Information We Collect

The amount of personal information we request from you is typically limited to what is necessary to organize events in our community. We may collect the following types of information from you:

  • Personal Information: When you communicate with us, whether by phone, email, or through a form on our website, we will collect your name, email address, phone number, and any other details you provide to facilitate further communication around our events. 

  • Non-Personally Identifiable Information (non-PII): When you visit our website, our web analytics will track information about the pages you visit and the length of your visit. By law, this data does not provide any details that could be used to identify you or any other individual, and it will be retained for only 14 months before being scrubbed.

  • Cookies: When you visit our website, a cookie (a text file) may be sent to your browser containing a small amount of data about your visit. We do not have access to the data stored in your cookies. Cookies are being phased out of use, so it’s possible that no cookie will be sent to your browser. All cookies expire in time, all browsers allow you to clear cookies at any time, and almost all browsers allow you to disable cookies for added privacy.

  • Organize events in our communities and cultivate connections

  • Respond to your inquiries with additional information

  • Send marketing messages, including event announcements and reminders

  • Marketing: When we occasionally work with third parties to execute our marketing, we may share your contact information to send emails or deliver ads. These third parties are contractually obligated to keep your data secure and will never sell or rent it.

  • HR: For our employees, we occasionally use other companies to provide limited services on our behalf, such as payroll processing services and healthcare benefits.

This information may be stored in manual or electronic systems with limited access in order to protect this information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. We also ensure our systems remain up-to-date to take advantage of new safeguards. 

 

While we strive to protect your data, no security measures are 100% effective, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We will fully cooperate with the Federal Trade Commission or local data protection authorities when requested to do so.

5. Your Rights

  • Opting Out of Communications: 

    • Email: In the footer of every email, there is a link to unsubscribe from our marketing emails. You may still receive transactional messages related to ongoing services you have contracted with us to provide.

    • Text: You may opt out of receiving marketing text messages by replying “STOP”. You may still receive transactional messages related to ongoing services you have contracted with us to provide.

    • You can also contact us directly to request that we remove your contact information from our database.

  • Access and Updates:

    •  You can contact us directly to (1) view the personal information we have on file, (2) update your personal information on file, or (3) request that we scrub your personal information from our database. We will respond to any of your privacy and confidentiality questions or issues in a timely manner.

 

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or relevant legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on our website, and we encourage you to review this policy regularly.
